OPAL Lightning Ridge Electric Purple Blue high dome Large Freeform opal 17.07cts

This is a large electric purple blue transparent Lightning Ridge Opal that has been cut with a high dome. It has been cut in a freeform oval shape and can be either kept as a specimen stone or set by a jeweler into a unique ring or pendant. This is a feature or statement stone for your piece of jewelry.

The opal colour is more purple with a touch of blue and is suspended within the clear opal and moves around and through the stone as it is moved. The bottom of the opal is a semi transparent grey potch. The colour will vary between computer monitors but is more impressive than I can photograph. The opal weighs 17.07 cts or 3.4 gms. The opal's maximum dimensions are 20.15mm long, 14.35mm wide and 9.1mm high.

This is quite a large stone and is unique. The opal is photographed compared to a US one cent coin to show perspective. Coin is not included in sale. Condition as per photographs.
