Christmas Cactus are also known as zygocactus or schlumbergera just depending where in the world you live. This variety Ascot can also come as a a frilly edged version as well.

The photographer Tony Brindley has placed the Christmas Cactus on a blue glass bowl to contrast the colour of the flower with the glass. His zygocactus photographs have appeared in the book Zygocactus for the Weekend Garden and in various Australian garden magazines over the years.
