Blue Green Black Opal

Black Opal Green Blue Mauve crystal opal from Lightning Ridge NSW Australia. This is a black crystal opal which means that you can see through it when held up to the light. In the photograph on the coin you can see the Presidents profile under the opal.

The colour is made up of a band of green flecks on say the bottom side of the triangle and blue mauve colour in the upper portion with tiny specks of green colour showing as the opal is moved around. 

This opal has been cut into a freeform triangle shape and will make a striking feature stone in a ring or pendant.
